PLANET FITNESS

This piece was created for a class at Columbus College of Art & Design. The objective of this project was to update an existing brand. To do this, I conducted research and created a new brand identity as well as a collection of collateral pieces. 

Through my initial research on Planet Fitness, I  was very impressed and inspired from their mission statement: 


We at Planet Fitness are here to provide a unique environment in which anyone – and we mean anyone – can be comfortable.

 

A large portion of their target market is first-time gym-goers. With this in mind, I wanted to create a more approachable and welcoming brand, as well as an environment where everyone felt comfortable, but also motivated to reach their goals. The imagery used is meant to reflect and attract the every-day person; someone that might not get to the gym at 6 o'clock every morning, but will make time to get there because achieving their goals is important.
